The new construction of a hotel (over 100 rooms) including a breakfast room as well as a long-stay hotel for the Goethe-Institut Göttingen (over 100 rooms) follows the line of the property in the shape of an arch segment on the site of a former round locomotive shed. The convoluted, low-lying window facade defines the outer arch with a radius of approx. 60 m, while the cambered corrugated aluminium parapets give the building a staggered height. A very high level of noise protection has been implemented for the railway line.
