The terminal building was designed as a compact structure with 2 floors and a trough-like integrated technology / ancillary function level. The structure can be extended lengthways on both sides. The landside of level 1 of the terminal will be opened up for passenger use. Airside access for flight operations is provided at Level 0. The wooden roof frame on level 1 rests on a reinforced concrete structure and gives the building its design character.
